Encouraging Love Ministries is a Christian Outreach ministry dedicated to strengthening, encouraging, and inspiring millions into a joyful relationship with God. David Cody, the founder, was inspired by a deep desire to bless and uplift people in need, regardless of their background or circumstances. He discovered how the power of love and the encouragement of words transformed lives. He endeavored to create a platform that would reach and impact people everywhere. It’s here to inspire, motivate, and empower individuals to overcome challenges and live a more fulfilling and purposeful life; choosing the Lord Jesus Christ and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit as the best and ultimate life choice.
David Cody, Sr., a Detroit native, founded Encouraging Love Ministries in 2008 with a passion to counter the negative portrayal of his city. Driven by a strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and the Anointing of the Holy Spirit, he committed to spreading hope, love, and encouragement to uplift his local community. Through personalized letters, he provided powerful messages of encouragement and faith, aimed at inspiring individuals in Detroit to embrace the transformative power of God’s love in their lives.
Despite initial skepticism and challenges, David’s efforts produced fruit when he received a letter of gratitude attached with a donation of $50 from a recipient stating, “Thanks for the encouragement, and may you continue the work.” Although having never received any other donations, this inspiring expression encouraged him to continue his work, expanding his outreach beyond Detroit as more people appreciated his uplifting messages. Through his ministry, Minister Cody sought to instill encouragement and hope in individuals, one person at a time, promoting the Love of Christ and the joy of the Holy Spirit.
Becoming An Organization
In 2010, Encouraging Love Ministries transitioned into an organization and began to augment its operations by acquiring a list of addresses from a direct mailing company. This approach enabled the Organization to focus on targeting specific zip codes systematically. Encouraging Love Ministries mailed out thousands of letters throughout the city of Detroit. However, hundreds of letters were returning due to vacancies. Despite the delivery of numerous letters, significant numbers were returning, resulting in considerable financial losses. This was seen as a notable price to pay in reaching the unreachable.
Three years later, Encouraging Love Ministries decided to hand deliver the letters as flyers to each house to avoid deliveries to vacant houses.
Card stock paper was used as encouragement flyers for residents to notice the quality attention the Ministry was endeavoring to present to them. The letter was strictly for the individual or family members that dwelt at the address and was not in any way given to solicit financial support for the Ministry.
The Encouraging Love Ministries is an exciting mobile family-knit outreach ministry. Its goal is to encourage millions everywhere, starting with the city of Detroit and all the surrounding cities. In the past, members handed out 600 to 1,000 letters a week to homes and individuals on the streets within the Metropolitan Detroit Area. Now it ministers to thousands on Social Media.

I walked out of my apt. yesterday on the way to my church and I saw all the cards on the car windows and I thought what in the world, I had been up since 4:30 A. M. but I didn’t hear anyone outside the apt. You have no idea what an answer to prayer you’re doing this did. I am a Christian and am going to be bolder.
